Warranty Information

To provide complete transparency, we separate the labor warranty provided directly by Trusted Garage Door Co. from the product warranties provided by the manufacturers of the parts and doors we install.

1. Trusted Garage Door Labor Warranty

We guarantee our installation and repair workmanship to ensure your garage door operates properly.

• Duration: All labor performed by Trusted Garage Door Co. is backed by a 1-year labor warranty starting from the date of service.
• Exclusions: The labor warranty does not cover issues resulting from:
  • Accidental damage, vehicle impacts, or physical abuse to the door.
  • Negligence, lack of basic homeowner maintenance (such as failure to lubricate hinges and rollers), or misuse of the door system.
  • Building or garage structural settling, shifting, or foundation movement.
  • Natural disasters, extreme weather, lightning strikes, or electrical power surges affecting opener electronics.
  • Alterations, adjustments, or repairs performed by anyone other than Trusted Garage Door Co.
• Transferability: This labor warranty is non-transferable. It is valid only for the original customer who purchased and paid for the service at the address where the work was completed.
• Claim Steps: If you experience an issue with our workmanship, please follow these steps to file a claim:
  1. Locate your original invoice number and date of service.
  2. Email us at info@trusted-garagedoor.com or call Call +1(708)625-4653 with your contact information, invoice number, and a description (plus photos/videos if possible) of the issue.
  3. We will review your claim and schedule a warranty service call to inspect and resolve the issue.
• Travel & Diagnostic Charges: If we perform a warranty visit and find that the issue is due to our workmanship or a part covered by our labor warranty, the diagnostic check and repair labor are 100% free. If the inspection reveals that the issue is due to an excluded cause (e.g., a power surge, vehicle impact) or a separate component that was not part of our original repair, our standard $95 diagnostic fee plus labor/parts charges will apply.

2. Manufacturer Product Warranties

Product warranties are provided directly by the manufacturers of the equipment and components. Trusted Garage Door Co. installs genuine parts, helping you claim coverage under their specific terms:

• Garage Door Springs: Standard replacement springs include a 3-year manufacturer parts warranty against defects or failure. Upgraded high-cycle springs carry a 5-year manufacturer parts warranty. Warranty covers replacement parts only; labor to install the replacement spring under the manufacturer warranty is covered by Trusted Garage Door only during the first year of our labor warranty.
• New Garage Doors (C.H.I. Overhead Doors): CHI steel garage doors include the manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty against rust-through, cracking, or delamination of the door sections. Hardware and track components carry a 3-year to 6-year manufacturer warranty depending on the door model.
• LiftMaster Openers: Opener motors and drive belts carry a manufacturer's warranty ranging from 5 years to lifetime, depending on the specific model installed. Opener control boards, remotes, and accessories are covered by a 1-year manufacturer parts warranty.
